Coach Weirauch's Class Page

My name is Nicole Weirauch and I am entering my 20th year in education, having served the Burke County community for 19 of those years.  Since I have been in Burke County, I have taught at The Burke County High School, Burke County Middle School, Blakeney Elementary School, and am currently teaching at the Burke County Life Center.  Here at the Life Center, I teach Health and Physical Education, as well as tutor students in other subject areas.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education from Armstrong Atlantic State University in 2002 with a specialization in Health and Physical Education and my Masters of Education program at Georgia Southern University specializing in Curriculum and Instruction.  My ultimate goal in education is to become an administrator and to help develop the next generation of teachers into leaders in our field.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy a very active lifestyle that has me constantly on the go.  I coach basketball at the high school and I love to travel, play golf, and bowl in tournaments.  In addition to these things, I have worked the Masters since 2006 and the US Open since 2011.  The best advice that I could give my students is to never settle.  We have to be willing to be a little uncomfortable in life if we want to be great.  I have learned so much more than I ever thought possible simple by being willing to be uncomfortable at times and try new things.

Supply List - For class, you will need a notebook, paper, and pen/pencil to take notes. If you are working remotely, you may use Google Docs to take your notes.  You are also expected to supply your own headphones/earbuds to use for your online lesson.
